Become a Technical Superintendent at Navquim
We are looking for a full-time Technical Superintendent (TSI) for our Rotterdam Office. In this role you can make the difference because there is where you press the buttons that ensure that our vessels are in excellent technical state, so they operate effectively worldwide. You are part of our Technical Department that keeps our vessels in top condition. You will manage 4 vessels and give technical advice and support to the technical crew members on board.
Your role
• Being the first point of contact and technical reference of the vessel. You advise the
Masters and Chief Engineers of our vessels and you help the crew solving issues, by
phone, email or in person on board.
• You lead and give guidance to dockings, repairs and maintenance on our chemical
tankers.
• Optimizer of the maintenance level and technical performance by using our Planned
Management System (PMS) Sertica.
• In charge of drawing up, monitoring and reporting budgets for maintenance and repair.
• Monitoring the logistics of the purchase orders.
• Evaluating the technical deficiencies or wear and tear of the vessels.
• Advising on necessary technical improvements.
What we expect from you
• Licensed Chief Engineer with at least 5 years of service as Senior Officer on board Tankers
(chemical/oil/LPG) or with at least 3 years of experience as a TSI of an equivalent Shipping
Company, or a naval Architect with at least 3 years of service in a shipping company or
similar experience (i.e. Shipyard’s Surveyor, Class Inspector, TSI) in shipbuilding process,
engaged in engineering project, or relevant expertise which can be demonstrated from
your CV upon acceptance by Management;
• Knowledge of PMS (preferable Sertica) and most other common computer software;
• You have an excellent command in English, both spoken and written;
• Good overall communication skills;
• Able to set priorities and managing stress;
• Team player;
• Hands-on and results focussed mentality;
• Ready to work outside of office hours;
• Willing (or ready) to travel;
• Full-time employment based in our Rotterdam office.
