Crew Co-orindator role.
The Crew Coordinator works in the Crewing department and is a member of a small but enthusiastic team. The position reports to the Head of Crewing. The Crew Coordinator performs all duties in an efficient manner and is responsible for planning and coordinating all crew changes for a fleet of chemical tankers that trade globally.
Your role
- Check that planned seafarers are compliant and can embark.
- Inform the individual crew member about their travel schedules for their designated ship.
- Organise all necessary travel-related arrangements for seafarers, including visas.
- Arrange pre-joining senior officer briefings.
- Manage timing of crew handovers in line with SMS requirements.
- Manage all related vessel evacuations of injury / illness cases.
- Update the Crew Management System (Omega) with relevant data.
- Member of the emergency phone team for urgent crew matters outside office
What we expect from you
- MBO degree in personnel management or equivalent.
- Relevant experience, preferably with a (tanker) shipping company or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and capabilities have been acquired (planning & organisation).
- Knowledge of the Omega Program is preferred Experience using dedicated Crewing software.
- Good overall communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Able to set priorities.
- Team player.
- Hands-on and results focussed mentality.
- Good command of the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Willingness to travel.
- Full-time employment.
- Have the right to work in Netherlands.
